Liedholm
Lu e Cuccaro Monferrato

Nel 1973 Nils Liedholm purchased the Villa Boemia estate, located in Cuccaro Monferrato in the province of Alessandria, in the hills of Monferrato. The estate already included vineyards of Barbera and Grignolino.
Wine production began in 1977, initially for family use only; in the following years, due to the good quality and market demand, new vineyards were planted, including varieties different from the traditional ones of the area (Pinot Noir, Merlot) to create new wines.
Today, the estate owns approximately 12 hectares of vineyards and the total production is about 80,000 to 90,000 bottles per year.
In 1985, a new winery was built for vinification, storage, and bottling of the products, using the most modern technologies. Even today, it remains a state-of-the-art winery from a structural point of view.
From that time until 2015, the estate was managed by his son Carlo Liedholm (born in 1958).
Since July 2015, the estate has been owned by Società Agricola Monte Ferrato Srl, part of an industrial group that is a world leader in its market segment. The group manages the estate with great attention to quality. Renovations have been carried out and vineyards have been replaced.
To this day, it has increased its production and aims to continue improving, integrating into the wonderful territory of Monferrato, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
